Our injection technique

At JEM Medspa, we perform your injections in a private treatment room. We use numbing cream for some patients who want added comfort. We use a fine needle to inject your Restylane. We then massage your skin so that it fills in the proper place. To help with inflammation, we place multiple injections in the treatment area and then apply a cold compress.

What to expect after Restylane injections

After your Restylane treatment, you can go back to normal daily activity. Your recovery will depend on where you were treated. You will experience redness and swelling; however, that should subside a few hours after your injections. You may also see some bruising. At JEM Medspa, we recommend that our patients not participate in any strenuous activity for 24 hours. You should prop your head up for at least one night too. You will see visible improvements, but it may take up to two weeks for all of your results to be revealed. These injections last for about a year.
